Formats the selected object. Depending on the object selected, the command opens dialogue boxes that you can also open by choosing the following commands from the Format menu:
Choose Format - Format Selection (Charts)
Opens the Chart Wall dialogue box, in which you can modify the properties of the chart wall. The chart wall is the "vertical" background behind the data area of the chart.
Opens the Chart Area dialogue box, in which you can modify the properties of the chart area. The chart area is the background behind all elements of the chart.
Opens the Chart Floor dialogue box, in which you can modify the properties of the chart floor. The chart floor is the lower area in 3-D charts. This function is only available for 3-D charts.
Modifies the properties of the selected title.
Defines the border, area and character attributes for a legend.
Opens a dialogue box in which you can edit the properties of the selected axis.
Opens the y-Axis dialogue box to change properties of the y-axis.
Opens the Grid dialogue box for defining grid properties.
This dialogue box allows you to change the properties of a selected data point. It appears when there is only one data point selected and you choose Format - Format Selection. Some of the menu entries are only available for 2-D or 3-D charts.
Use this to change the properties of a selected data series. This dialogue box appears when one data series is selected and you choose Format - Format Selection. Some of the menu entries are only available for 2-D or 3-D charts.
Resets changes made to the current tab to those applicable when this dialogue box was opened.
