Merging and Splitting Cells

You can select adjacent cells, then merge them into a single cell. Conversely, you can take a large cell and divide it into individual cells.

To Merge Cells

  1. Select the adjacent cells.

  2. Choose Table - Merge Cells.

To Split Cells

  1. Place the cursor in the cell to be split.

  2. Choose Table - Split Cells.

A dialogue box allows you to split the cell into two or more cells, horizontally or vertically.
