Specifies the numbering scheme and outline format for chapter numbering in the current document.
Choose Tools - Chapter Numbering
Chapter numbering is achieved by assigning paragraph styles to outline levels, and a numbering scheme for each outline level. By default, the "Heading" paragraph styles (1-10) are assigned to the corresponding outline levels (1-10). You can use the dialogue box to assign a different paragraph style to an outline level.
If you want numbered headings, choose Tools - Chapter Numbering. This command opens a dialogue box where numbering schemes can be assigned to paragraph styles used for headings. Do not use the Toggle Ordered List icon on the Formatting Bar or the Format - Bullets and Numbering dialogue box.
